Lanolin technical is obtained from
multi stage refining of wool grease. Lanolin
technical’s valuable qualities make it an important
component of a broad range of
industrial applications.
ECOLOGICALLY
FRIENDLY and powerful RUST PREVENTATIVE: Lanolin
technical is biodegradable and non toxic making it
an ecologically friendly substance. It is also a
very powerful rust preventative having a tenacious
adhesive tendency to metal surfaces which is much
higher than for hydrocarbons.
Lubricant
Applications: Having all the physical properties of
grease along with its non toxic, biocompatible and
biodegradable nature make it an attractive and safe
lubricant. Due to its excellent lubrication
qualities & high affinity to tack itself to metals
makes lanolin technical the perfect candidate to be
used as a cost-efficient ANTI-FRICTION base for many
technical processes. It is also a key ingredient in
cleaning products such as soaps.

Leather & Textiles:
During leather tanning the aggressive process of using chemical
tanning agent leaches out most of the animal lipids that leather
needs to stay soft and supple. Restoration of the moisture and
natural fat content after tanning to make the leather strong and
resilient is achieved very effectively by using lanolin
commercial because of its natural tendency to moisturize and
soften skin. As a result, Lanolin commercial is widely used
emollient in the leather industry.

Application & Uses
:
Pentalin
001 is a highly thermo- stable synthetic ester , used as an
additive in lubricants & anti- corrosion
preparations.Pentalin001 does not oxidize at high temperature &
hence is used as additive in Rust - preventive Oils & in
High Performance Lubricants. Pentalin001 is used as a
base with Mineral oils, Spindle oils,
Paraffin, Petroleum Jellies, Microcrystalline waxes & it
forms non-corrosive film on ferrous &
non-ferrous metal surfaces. Due to its high thermal stability it
is a useful additive for
the control of viscosity of oxidized petroleum soap based
Rust-preventives. Pentalin001 is recommended for soft film
type Rust Preventive oils. It passes the stringent Salt Spray
& Humidity Cabinet tests(ASTM B117).Pentalin is used as a
base for the preparation of oily, grease like Waxy or hard film
coatings. Pentalin is used in oil lubricants for the prevention
of corrosion of engines, machines, gear boxes during storage.
Pentalin001 prevents formation of emulsion due to ingress of
water & hence is used in the formulation of
Flushing
oils. Pentalin001 is also used for textile applications.
Plasticizer for paints & putties, metal polishing compounds,
soldering fluxes, water proofing compounds, leather dressing &
rope oils etc.

Properties & Applications
Lanolin is practically
insoluble in water. A Water soluble Ethoxylated
Lanolin is obtained by reacting Lanolin with Ethylene Oxide.
Ethoxylated Lanolin is one of the most common derivatives of
Lanolin and has 75 moles of Ethylene oxide per mole of Lanolin.
As a derivative it
has similar solubilizing properties, but with low degree of
emolliency it exhibits very different emollient properties than
Lanolin.
Ethoxylated Lanolin (
PEG-75) is soluble in water and is a typical, very mild
non-ionic surfactant that can reduce irritation from other
surfactants. It has emulsifying, moisturizing, wetting and
cleansing properties. It does not defat the skin and reduces the
defatting effects of detergents. These properties make
particularly useful in wet-wipe products.
Ethoxylated Lanolin (
PEG-75) is an effective skin and hair conditioner making it
ideal for use in wide range of aqueous preparations such as
liquid soaps, shampoos, foam baths, cleaning hand gels and
shaving foams. When used in smaller concentrations it acts as a
clarifying agent in aqueous systems and hence its usage in gels
and clear shampoos. It is also often used in combination with
amphoterics and other mild tensides in baby shampoos.
It also has a unique
property of being a very good solubiliser for many
water-insoluble materials, like fats, Lanolin & Lanolin oil.
With Lanolin and water, Ethoxylated lanolin creates a very
stable micro-emulsion with low viscosity, which then allows for
it to be used as a spray on burns and wounds.
It is also used in
emollient shampoos for adding oils to the skin and relieving the
symptoms of a dry and itchy skin. It also used in hair styling
products like hair colour and bleaching, hair spray, styling
gels and lotions. Other reported uses are nail polish removers,
after sun products, and as spreading agent for talc in skin care
creams.

Properties & Applications
Lanolin is manufactured by multi stage
refining of woolgrease. Processed in stainless steel reactors in
a GMP environment, and hence the best retention of Colour and
characteristics over time.
Due to its emollient, high water absorption
capacity and emulsive properties, as well as having low chemical
reactivity, it is widely used in cosmetics, toiletries and
pharmaceutical preparations.
It produces very stable water emulsions in
oil, characteristic that have made it an essential component in
excipients of pharmaceutical formulations.
